Luanda - Angolan parliament speaker, Antonio Paulo Kassoma, is back home tonight, after attending the 2nd parliamentary assembly of the community of portuguese speaking countries (CPLP), held in Lisbon (Portugal) from March 8 to 10.
Mr Kassoma rejoiced on wednesday with the outcome of the meeting which, according to him, will improve the structuring of the institution and a more interventional parliamentary structure for the coming meeting of the head of states of the community to take place this year in Luanda, thus helping to bring more efficacious mechanisms for the implementation of decisios taken at governamental levels.
The 2nd CPLP parliamentary assembly discussed subjects such as "Challanges and Horizons of the portuguese presidency of CPLP", The CPLP and the international political and economic environment", "Strenghtening cooperation within the CPLP" and "CPLP, portuguese language, the new spelling agreement and the role of the international institute of portuguese language".
The angolan delegation included MPs Cristovão da Cunha, João Melo, Luis Reis Cuanga, Lúcio Tomás and Lukamba Paulo Gato.
CPLP is made up by Angola, Mozambique, Guinea Bissau, São Tomé and Príncipe, Cape Verde, Brazil, Portugal and East Timor the host country of the 3rd parliamentary meeting in 2011.
