Luanda – The National Assembly (Parliament)will implement from March 17 a program to publicize the Constitution of the Republic of Angola in order to spread its content to all angolans and standardize the interpretation and enforcement of the law, the spokesman of the Constitutional Commission, Samuel Daniel, revealed today.
Addressing the press, at the end of a meeting of the constitutional commission and the technical group preparing the program, chaired by the acting parliament speaker, João Lourenço, the Constitutional Commission spokesman stated that after the approval of the constitution by the Parliament, the document will now be publicized to let people know its content, mainly the magistrates and law professors.
He said that groups of MPs will tour the 18 angolan provinces to expalin the content of the Magna Carta in meetings with members of the civil society, particularly studants and professors of the public and private universities.
Mr Daniel stated that UNITA MPs will also integrate the groups although they have left the act of vote on Constitution because of their party leadership disagreement with some articles of the constitution.
He added that the Parliament is studying manners to restrain the illegal reproduction of the text of the Constitution which appear in the black market, stating that the Constitutional Commission will be extinguished as soon as the parliament adopt the appropriate law.
