Brockton
New York consul appeals for youths' commitment to development

Brockton – The general consul to New York, Júlia Machado, appealed to  Angolan youths in the US state of Massachusetts to keep committed to their school and  professional duties, thus contributing to the development of the country.


 
Speaking to Angop over the weekend in the ambit of the celebrations of the “February 4”  in that city, where she inaugurated the new head-office of the Association of Angolan  Community to Massachusetts.

 

On the occasion, Júlia Machado recalled the deeds of the national heroes who sacrificed their  lives for the independence of Angola.
She also spoke to participants about the importance of the Angolan new Constitution which  has just been approved.


 
She urged the Angolan community to use the new facility for debates and social,  cultural and sport activities.
