Journalists discuss "Universal Periodic Review" mechanism

Luanda – Journalists from different media institutions were invited this Tuesday in Luanda to attend a round table to discuss about the United Nations' mechanism of Universal Periodic Review (UPR).

Organised by the Forum of Women Journalists, the activity was held at the premises of the Journalists Training Centre (CEFOJOR).

The round table is aimed at upgrading information professionals on matters relating to the evaluation process of the UN Human Rights Council, as well as the process that involves Angola, which saw its report on human rights recently submitted.

This consultation brought together representatives from various civil organisations that participated in the process, for the appropriate clarifications, members of the Consultative Council of the Programme of Aid to Non State Actors (PAANE) and the Open Society Foundation.
