Malanje - Fourteen foreigners from Mali, Guinea-Bissau and Guinea- Conacri, arrested for illegal entry in Angola through the Tunguila border, Lunda Norte province, were presented to the press on Monday by the Migration and Foreigners Services (SME).
Addressing the ceremony, the SME chief in Malanje province, Herculano Manuel Maria, stated that the west african expatriates illegally crossed the border early this year and will be sent to Luanda for further repatriation.
They were attempting to reach the capital, Luanda, hidden in trucks at the moment of their arrest in Xandel commune, Quela municipality.
Mohamed Diallo, from Mali, said that he took five months to reach the angolan border, and entered illegaly to visit his relatives in Luanda.
Last year the SME in Malanje repatriated 275 illegal immigrants from Guinea Conacri, Cote d'Ivoire, Sierra Leone, Democratic Republic of Congo, Mali, Congo Brazzavile and Nigeria.
