Addis Ababa – The National Assembly (Angolan Parliament) speaker, Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos, arrived Saturday in Addis Ababa, where he is representing the head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos, at the 14th summit of the African Union (AU) starting Sunday.
Fernando da Piedade was received on arrival by Angolan Foreign minister, Assunção dos Anjos, the deputy minister of Science and Technology, Pedr Teta, Angolan ambassador to Ethiopia, Manuel Augusto, including the ministry's director for Middle East, Nelson Cosme.
The agenda of the heads of state summit includes discussions of the change of the AU flag, the handing of a scientific award to two African researchers and approval of proposals submitted to the summit by the AU Executive Council on the meeting's theme.
The election of the country to host the next summit, the clarification of the approval of the Oliver Tambo declaration on internet's critical points, are also on the agenda of the heads of state session.
