Diplomat analyses Angola/Burkina Faso ties

Ouagadougou - Angolan ambassador to Côte d’Ivoire, Gilberto Buta Lutucuta, Friday in Ouagadougou, met with the Burkina Faso's head of State, Blaise Campaoré, with whom he reviewed the current state of relations between the two countries.


 
The meeting, held in the Presidential palace, analysed the efforts made by Burkinabe president, in the search for peace in Cote dÍvoir.

 


In his turn, the president Campaoré expressed appreciation and admiration for president Eduardo dos Santos, encouraging him to proceed with the determination of effort in the search for  peace and stability, not only in southern sub-region of Africa, but also in the continent in general.

 

He highlighted the political and economic potential of Angola and the contribution that can provided for the development of the African continent and considered Angola as an important partner for his country.

 

Burkinabe president also defended the need for the two countries to continue working towards the strengthening of relations between the two peoples and countries, and the deepening of cooperation in the various  domains. 


 
Speaking on the WHO/Africa regional director, Angolan Luis Sambo, Campaoré highlighted the excellent work he carried out during his first term.

 

According to him, Sambo has contributed to the solution of health  problems in the continent and in Burkina Faso, in particular. 


 
Angola is officially accredited in Côte d’Ivoire and Mali, with residence in Ouagadougou.
