Beijing- The Angolan embassy in China attended the 2nd International Forum on Copyright called “Expo International Copyright”, held in Beijing from October 24-26.
Organised by the International Committee of China Copyright Expo, the event was held on the premises of the Beijing Section of the National Convention.
Comprising six panels, the International Copyright Expo, which gathered more than 600 participants and guests, was an effort to stimulate technological innovation for the protection of copyrights, the expansion of communication and international cooperation among copyright industries.
The participants reiterated the need to introduce consistent and effective mechanisms through strengthening technological surveillance in the protection of copyrights worldwide, coupled with strong administrative and commercial measures against piracy, theft and brain drain.
The conferences chaired by Chinese and other specialists in the fields of arts and culture, cinema, photography, environment, digital music, literature, investment and financing, tackled the Chinese experience in the protection of creators of softwares and ways of fighting piracy.
The Angolan ambassador to China, João Manuel Bernardo, was represented at the event by the press attache, Bernardo João.
