Athens - Angolan deputy interior minister, Eduardo Martins, is expected sunday in Athens for the 3rd Global Forum on Migration and Development to discuss "Integration of Migration Policies in Development Strategies for Benefit of All from november 2 to 5.
The 3-day meeting, to be attended by all UN member states and observers will debate on how migration can be integrated in policies, strategies and development partnerships.
The 1st Global Forum on Migration and Development, set up in September 2006, took place in Belgium in 2007 and discussed the impact of migration in the social and economic development, human rights, gender and its roots while the 2nd Forum held in Manila (Philipines), last year analysed the "Protection and Ability of Migrants for Development".
The angolan delegation to the conference, to be openned at the presence of Greece president Karolos Papoulias and the UN secretary general Ban-Ki Moon, includes ambassador to Greece Isaias Vilinga, and officials from the ministry of external relations and the migration and foreigners services.
