Luanda – Venezuela’s counsellor-minister at that country’s Embassy in Luanda, Jesús Alberto García, praised on Thursday here the political maturity of the Angolan government, demonstrated by the way it is solving the case of expulsions of its citizens from the Democratic Republic of Congo.
According to Jesús Alberto Garcia, speaking during a press conference, about America-Africa Summit that took place on 20 to 28 September, in Venezuela, the Angolan government was able to solve the matter in a peaceful way, respecting diplomatic and human rights precepts.
“I was happy and touched by the Angolan government position who was able to show a strong political impulse, since the country has a vast political experience (…)” he observed.
The diplomat stressed that Angola managed the situation well, because if this country had taken the same attitude as that of the Congolese authorities, the result might have been catastrophic to the point of affecting excellent political and economic ties between both countries.
