Luanda – The South African embassy to Angola announced on Friday in Luanda that will hold a campaign to collect goods to help Angolan nationals expelled from Democratic Republic of Congo.
In a press conference, the South African ambassador, Themba Kubheka, affirmed that the campaign is a response of OMA (Angola Women organization) appeal, launched on Thursday to mobilize funds to reduce people needs especially to children, elderly and pregnant women.
The ambassador promised to go to his country and collect there goods to help the victims.
At least 40,000 Angolans were expelled from the neighbouring Democratic Republic of Congo, some of them lived there for more than 30 years.
