MPLA delegation meets President Mugabe

 


Harare– A delegation from Angola’s ruling party MPLA led by its general secretary, Julião Mateus Paulo "Dino Matross" was received Wednesday in Harare, by Zimbabwe head of State, Robert Gabriel Mugabe.

 


During the meeting with president Mugabe, who is also the general secretary of the governing Zanu-PF, there was discussed matters related to local political and economic situation and the relations between the two parties.

 


The programme of MPLA entourage in Harare since Monday included a meeting with the vice president, Joice Mujuru and a visit to Heroes Park in the province of central Mashonaland Central (Bindura).

 


The delegation, that left Harare on Thursday for Johannesburg, was integrated by MPLA secretary of Foreign Affairs, Paulo Teixeira Jorge and the chief for Africa and Middle East of the party’s foreign affairs department, Manuel Pedro Chaves.

 


The delegation had meeting with local party members, OMA and JMPLA living in that southern Africa country.

 


At the meeting, the general secretary of MPLA informed militants about the VI congress of the party to be held from 7 to 10 December and about the new Constitution.
