Over five million explosive devices removed in 13 years

Luanda – At least 5.5 million explosive devices were removed and destroyed from 1996 to 2009 in the ambit of the country’s demining process.


The information was released recently in Luanda by the chief of engineering of Angolan Army general Miguel Kiangala.


The source said that there were demined about 96.332 kilometres of road, 3.673 kilometres of railways and 30.850 lines of communication network.


In 13 years was cleaned 4.4 million of territorial area that are serving to housing, agriculture and industrial projects.
