Kinshasa – The Southern African Development Community (SADC) received this year contributions from the members states estimated at USD 20.794,140 million, out of the USD 24,871 million set for the budget.
According to the document made available to ANGOP, in Kinshasa, which hosts the Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Southern Africa Development Community, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), chairing the regional organisation, indicated that it
paid already its quota, but this amount is still not deposited in SADC’s financial account”.
The note added also that countries such as Madagascar and Mauritius need to honour its obligations, the respective amount of USD 1,338.116,00 million and USD 440.073,00 million.
Still According to the referred document, Mozambique and Zambia declared that they have paid already the delayed quotas, but such amounts were not deposited in the accounts of the regional Secretariat.
Tanzania informed that it intends to pay the amount in arrears of USD 356,212, 00 until October 2009.
