Foreign minister returns from Equatorial Guinea

 

Luanda - Angola's Foreign Affairs minister, Assunção dos Anjos, arrived last Wednesday evening in Luanda, after representing in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, the Head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos, in the swearing-in ceremony of President Teodoro Obiang Nguema.

 


Obiang Nguema got 95,37 per cent of the presidential votes, following the November 29 elections, according to the results announced by the Guinean Home affairs minister and the local National Electoral Commission.

 


Minister Clement Nguema Onguene, who was speaking to journalists and diplomats, said that the level of participation was of 93 per cent.

 


President Teodoro Obiang Nguema has held this post since 1979.
