Luanda – The Belas Convention centre, comprising a 3,000-seat auditorium, was inaugurated Tuesday in Luanda by the Angolan Head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos.
Situated at Futungo II, in Samba Municipality, the undertaking occupies an area of 10,194 square metres and is made up of four floors, the last one being an access terrace.
The undertaking contains also an administrative area, offices, press conference rooms, translation rooms, as well as conference halls.
The constructions works of the inaugurated infrastructure, whose building cost is estimated at 24 million US dollars, lasted 12 months and were carried out by a Chinese company, under the supervision of Angolan technicians.
The ceremony of inauguration of the infrastructure was attended by parliamentarians, government officials and other entities.
