Lusaka - Angolan ambassador to Zambia, Pedro Neto, last Wednesday in Lusaka, highlighted the importance and the historic meaning of the 34 years of National Independence, commemorated on 11 November.
The diplomat was speaking during a ceremony organised by the embassy directed to the Angolan community and diplomatic body in Zambia, held at Sandys Creation, in Lusaka.
Pedro Neto mentioned the sacrifices, the deeds and gains obtained from independence, won in 1975.
In his turn, in representation of Zambian Government, the assistant minister of presidency, Ronald Mukuma, congratulated the government of Angola, for the occasion of 11 November.
In the light of National Independence's day, the Angolan embassy promoted a workshop for diplomats and Angolan community in Zambia, a football tournament, a press conference on the importance of the event.
