Diplomat calls on Angolans to return home

Porto - The Angolan general-consul to Porto, Portugal, Maria de Jesus Ferreira, Friday evening appealed to  Angolan citizens to return to the country, in order to help  in the national reconstruction process.

Speaking during the celebrations of National Independence Day, marked on 11 November, Maria de Jesus Ferreira said that the Angolan government is committed to the creation of  housing and employment conditions for a stable social wellbeing.

According to the diplomat, these deeds are being carried out thanks to the engagement of  Angolans who fought for the country’s Independence.

However, she added, the Consulate is cooperating with some institutions operating in Angola, to support those intending to return home.
