Chief of Army Staff announces demining of Licua runway

Menongue - The process of demining of the Licua landing strip, district of Mavinga, southeastern Kuando Kubango province, will start soon, seeking to facilitate the logistic supplies to the troops and local populations.


This was announced recently by the chief of Staff of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA), gen. Francisco Furtado.


According to the general, who was speaking to the troops in the province’s capital city, Menongue, the landing strip mine clearing is urgent, in view of the need to improve the supplies to the troops and the populations in general.


He said that this will also facilitate the involvement of the soldiers in the process of education and other social activities in the region.
