Stockholm4 - The Angolan ambassador to Nordic countries and the Baltic states of Latvia and Estonia, Domingos Culolo, recently asked for an increase of foreign investment in Angola in order to bring a major contribution to the tasks of national reconstruction.
"Foreign investment is the way that seems more feaseble in the path towards our country's development and all businessmen and investors are welcome in Angola"- ambassador Domingos Culolo said at a meeting in Stockholm marking the celebrations of the 34rd anniversary of Angola's independence, attended by officials of the swedish foreign ministry, diplomats, businessmen and angolans residing in the nordic countries.
The angolan diplomat also stressed his government's position on the recent repariation of thousands of angolan nationals from the Democratic Republic of Congo, stating that his country's leadership is committed to " peace, security and stability in Angola and the whole region".
He also paid hommage to the heroes who perished during the liberation struggle for the country's independence and stood for the preservation of peace, political stability and of the conquerings of angolan people.
Over 300 guests attended the reception marked by the exhibition of angolan craftworks, pictures and videos showing aspects of the national reconstruction, investments, culture, arts, tourism and the prepairings of the African Nations Cup, CAN-ANGOLA/2010.
