Luanda – The Angolan ambassador to Mozambique, Garcia Bires, praised the relations between both countries and considered state organisation, higher education and scientific research reforms as the areas from which Angola might obtain experience.
In an interview to ANGOP, in the city of Maputo, to discuss about the state of relations between the two states, the ambassador stated that Angola might obtain from Mozambique its experience in terms of organising a state, namely the autarchies.
"Mozambique has a lot of experience in this field due to its long years of peace and might pass them on to Angola", the diplomat said.
Mozambique held, in approximately one year ago, its third autarchic elections, with over a hundred candidates to the presidency of 43 autarchies.
“We are giving the first steps to a type of autarchy, Mozambique has various years of experience in this field, due to its years of peace” – Garcia Bires stated, having added expressed hope towards success in this aspect, thanks to the current relations between the two states that have improved after visits paid by both Heads of State, Armando Guebuza, to Angola, and José Eduardo dos Santos, to his counterpart's country.
To the diplomat, "these two visits came to give a new image and strengthen our brotherhood, but it was far from what united us due to various reasons”.
