Luanda
Minister of Culture considers specialisation essential

Luanda, - Angola's minister of Culture, Rosa Cruz e Silva, this Monday here said that the management of the country's cultural heritage depends on hard work and on the specialisation of technicians of the sector, ANGOP has learnt.

Speaking at the opening session of the seminar on management of cultural heritage, which is expected to last until April 10, in Luanda, she said that only by training staff will it be possible for agents of the sector to obtain the necessary knowledge for preserving cultural infrastructures.

"The strengthening of the management of cultural heritage necessarily depends on training, as a way of making technicians self-sufficient and capable of carrying out important tasks in this domain", she said.

Participants to the seminar will analyse the definition of institutional sites for the preservation of material and immaterial cultural heritage, administration of public resources and Law to Encourage Culture, the programme of international cooperation being implemented by the National Institute of Historic and Artistic Heritage of Brazil.
