Luanda – The Culture minister, Rosa Cruz e Silva, said Tuesday in Luanda that her department will do everything to provide regular activities for national artists, by creating proper conditions to spread all the artistic modalities countrywide.
The official said so during a broad meeting with the artists who reside in Luanda, to whom she suggested the creation of an agreement so that they may get incomes from their events and from institutional initiatives.
Rosa Cruz e Silva said that she is aware of the difficulties faced by the artists and she thinks that this is the moment to ensure that they may work every day.
Speaking to the artists, the minister considered that it is a project that can move forward and, therefore, she asked for support to the traditional partners of the Ministry of Culture, such as the provincial governments.
She requested these institutions to draft local plans capable of helping the national artists to take their works to the cities and villages of Angola, so that different kinds of culture may be known throughout the country.
The meeting happened when the government official was paying a visit to the production companies Walmires and Home Family, where she learnt about their projects and difficulties.
