Luanda – Angolan plastic artist Kabudy Ely will be displaying from 12 to 21 June several of his paintings, in Luanda, an exhibition being dubbed “Time destroys everything but bread”.
In the exhibition, made up by fifteen paintings the artists shows, symbolically and historically, the importance of bread in Angola, having as reference the decades of 1980 (period in which the country had a planned economy system) and 1990 (transition to liberal economy).
Kabudi Ely said to ANGOP that his first individual exhibition is the expression of a small trip to the historical existence of bread in the life of the people.
Kabudi Ely was born in 1972, in the central Kwanza Sul Province, and he has been painting for the past 20 years.
He has already participated in several collective exhibitions in Angola and abroad.
He is a member of the Angolan Plastic Artists National Association (UNAP).
