Yeosu
Neto's poetic quality highlighted

Yeosu – The chairwoman of Agostinho Neto Foundation said on Friday in Yeosu city in South Korea that the founder of the Angolan nation is an epic poet that sang the struggle of the national liberation.

Considering him one of the greatest poets of Africa and Portuguese language, Maria Eugenia Neto defended the divulgence of Neto’s deeds in the country and abroad because of their universal dimension.

The chairwoman, who is also widow of the first and late Angolan President, said so during the releasing act of the books by Agostinho Neto entitled “Sagrada Esperança”, “Renuncia impossível” and “Amanhecer”, translated into Korean language, aimed to celebrate Africa Day, being marked on Friday May 25 in Angolan pavilion at Expo.
