Luanda – The minister of Culture, Rosa Cruz e Silva, Tuesday in Luanda expressed satisfaction with the commitment of the National Association of Artists and Composers (UNAC) in awarding professional cards to artists.
Rosa Cruz e Silva was speaking at the ceremony of handing over of professional cards to artists, during an event witnessed by the minister of Public Administration, Employment and Social Security, Pitra Neto.
To the minister, the UNAC process has led to two crucial moments that took place on Monday. The first involved the hand-over by the vice president of the Republic, Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos, of the first card to the king of the Angolan music, Elías Diakimuezo.
The second included the award of a UNAC Honour Diplomat to the head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos, for his deeds in the promotion and valorisation of the national culture.
On the occasion, the minister reiterated the commitment to continue working with UNAC to take the process to all corners of the country so that every artist get their card as a symbol of the valorisation of the profession.
