Luanda – Angolan head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos, was awarded Monday in Luanda the Honour Diploma by the National Association of Artists and Composers (UNAC), for his deeds in the promotion and valorisation of the country's culture.
A note from UNAC General Assembly read out by the head of the ssociation's directing commission says that engineer José Eduardo os Santos is awarded the diploma in his capacity as honorary president of the association, as a recognition of his deeds in the promotion and valorisation of Angola's culture.
The Angolan vice president, Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos, received the award from Arnaldo Calado, on behalf of the head of State.
The ceremony was witnessed by the ministes of Culture, Rosa Cruz e Silva, Luanda deputy governor, Juvelina Imperial and artists.
