Elite Model contest chairwoman recognises Angola's potential

Luanda – The chairwoman of the Elite Model Look International, Michaela Goddard-Quesada, said the Angolan candidates stand good chances of winning the world fashion modelling contest, in view of their performance.

Speaking to Angop on the fringes of the final of the Elite Model Look Angola 2012 (EML Angola), Michaela Goddard-Quesada said the Angolan girls have been showing a good performance and very successful.

In his turn, the musician and executive director of “Semba Comunicação”, Coreón Dú, also said Angolan model Verónica Bartolomeu stands good chances of winning the Elite Model Look International, as the previous contestants did well and stood among the world’s 15 best.

He added that the beauty of the Angolan candidates was a surprise to the Elite Model Look International team.

The contest took place Saturday night, but the Elite Model Look Angola was first held in 2010, won by Roberta Narciso, who attended the 27th edition of the world contest in Shanghai, having finished in the 15th position.

The 2011 edition of the EML Angola was won by Elsa Baldaia, from south-western Namibe province.
