Official calls for protection of monuments and sites protection

Lubango - Citizens in Huila Province were urged to protect the monuments and sites of the province in order to keep the Angolan legacy alive, ANGOP has learnt.

The appeal was made by the local head of historic heritage department, Avelino Elias, while commenting about the commemorations of the World Monuments and Sites Day, to be marked on April 18.

He said that it is possible to notice in Huila Province many monuments and sites in an advanced state of abandonment.
