Culture Ministry prepares 2nd National Festival

 

Luanda - The consultant to the Angolan minister of Culture, Jorge Gumbe, said Thursday in Luanda that the institution is working hard to prepare the 2nd National Festival of Culture (Fenacult).


Speaking to ANGOP, the official said that after the approval of the presidential decree establishing the second Fenacult (the first was in 1989), the Ministry was tasked with making the arrangements, the terms of reference, programmes and budget.


The Fenacult, he mentioned, will take place every four years from now one and will involve multicultural activities like dance, music, theatre, book fairs, lectures and symposia, exhibition of visual arts and other artistic expressions.


Jorge Gumbe said that one of the provinces of the country will host the main event while smaller events will be held in other provinces of the country.
