Theatre group performs in schools

Luanda – The theatre group “Colectivo de Artes 17 de Setembro” will organise this month, in Luanda, a series of exhibition of plays in secondary schools of Maianga and Kilamba Kiaxi districts, with the aim of promoting the performing arts in youths.

In an interview to ANGOP on Wednesday, the artist João Kassule speaking about “Importance of theatre in communities” informed that with these activities the group intends to teach the first steps of performing arts to the youths, by showing the importance of theatre in communities.

According to João Kassule, with these initiatives, the group will pass the message on some principles about how to live in a society, besides encouraging students to form their school theatre groups.

For the artist, theatre is one of the best ways to educate society, because it addresses various issues of concern to the community.
