Artists call for support of Culture Ministry

 

Luanda - The women artists Wednesday in Luanda, asked for more financial support and constant institutional presence of the Ministry of Culture, for the makers to do more of the arts to participate in the process of developing the sector in various fields of activity.

 

 
The artists expressed their concern during a meeting organised by the Ministry of Culture with the artistic female class, appeal to the sensitivity of those to contribute to the rescue of moral and cultural values through their lyrics, songs, dances and other events.

 

 
“The musicians are not able financially, so I would like the Ministry to support women who are producing to work for the promotion of moral values”, said the singer Lina Alexandre, adding that the empowerment of women is needed in this field.

 

 
Poetess Kanguimbo Ananás, who was also present at the meeting, reiterated that without the support of the ministry, the makers of the arts will continue to live difficulties, so there is a need for a multi-sectoral intervention to be resolved some problems.

 

 
The meeting was attended by the ministers of Culture, Rosa Cruz e Silva, Media, Carolina Cerqueira, and Family and Women Promotion, Genoveva Lino.
