Chieftains want more divulgation of cultural values

Uíge - Chieftains, religious personalities and cultural agents in the northern Uige Province on Sunday here called on the authorities of the culture sector to work more and more with society to increase the promotion of cultural values in the region and in the country in general.

 

On a message presented to the minister of Culture, Rosa Cruz e Silva, under the commemorations of the National Culture Day, January 08, it is underlined that it is necessary to mark the cultural and historic sites, by divulging plastic works that reflect the reality of the local identity.

 

The message states that this is the best way to valorise the national culture and facilitate the conservation and transmission of knowledge to the coming generations.

 

It is assured that the chieftains are engaged in the process of preservation and divulgation to the new generations of the cultural heritage, with highlight to the instruments of traditional music, dance, games and plastic arts and other realities of the region.
