Minister highlights awareness of artistic society

 

 

   Luanda – The minister of Culture, Rosa Cruz e Silva, stressed Tuesday in Geneva (Switzerland), the work organized by the Angolan Government for awareness of artistic and civil society on the need of valuing property rights of authors, artists and interpreters.


According to the minister, who was speaking at the 48th session of World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO), taking place in Geneva (Switzerland), from 20 to 25 of September, the Government has been working with associations of artists in collecting honorarium of their work used by radio and television stations and other entities.


For the minister, it is also fundamental to continue guaranteeing economic growth of the country, because that is the only way to promote and encourage research and scientific, technologic research in crucial areas for the development of Angola such as biologic technologies and telecommunications.
