Luanda - The book “As colheitas do Senhor Governador” (Mr Governor’s harvest), by the Angolan writer João Maiomona, was launched Tuesday here during a ceremony attended by writers, journalists and lawyers.
According to the writer, the book contains fictional elements as well as aspects of everyday life of Angola and other countries, such as corruption, promiscuity and polygamy.
He added that the book, with about 1,000 copies published, contains chapters that depict the incompetence in managing public affairs.
Born in Kibokolo locality (Maquela do Zombo Distric), northern Uíge Province, João Maiomona has published namely the books “Trajectória obliterada”) 1985, “Les roses perdues de Cunene” 1986, “Traço de união” 1987, , “As abelhas do dia” 1988, “Quando se ouvir o sino das sementes” 1988, among others.
