Chevron and associates donate school equipment

 

Luanda - The oil company Chevron - Cabinda Gulf Oil Company Limited (CABGOC) and its associates in the block 0 Sonangol E.P., Total Petroleum Angola Ltd and Eni Angola Production B.V announced on Thursday in Luanda a donation of several school facilities and domestic equipments to institutions of the province of Cabinda.

 

The initiative that falls under the social responsibility of Chevron and its partners aims to contribute to provincial government efforts in the sector of education allowing the gradual improvement of the conditions of learning and teaching especially through the Educational Programme of Cabinda.

 

The donation consists in 1,080 writing desks, desks for teachers of the localities of Fútila, Malembo, Dinge, Luali and 212 mattresses to distribute in the catholic mission in the village of Caio Litoral and the residences of teachers in the locality of Tshinsuá and Iabe.


 
The total project is estimated at USD 125,000 and will benefit about 2,160 students of those localities.
