BES photo opens candidature to Angolan artists


Luanda - The 7th edition of BES photo prize, a joint initiative of Espírito Santo Bank and Colecção Berardo Museum, will extend, in 2011, the selection of works done by the Angolan artists.

 


According to the organisation, currently this is the main prize of contemporaneous art in Portugal now acquiring the international status, with a pecuniary value of 40,000 Euros.

 


“In 2011, the usual artists of Portuguese nationality or resident in Portugal, can join their counterparts from Brazil and the Portuguese speaking African countries (Palop)”, stressed the officials.

 


For the Angolan artists, he emphasised, this represents an opportunity to divulge their work beyond border.
