Jazz festival may be institutionalised

Luanda - The organiser of the Luanda International Jazz Festival, António Cristovão, said the event may be institutionalised as from the year 2011, ANGOP learnt.

He said so to the press on the fringes of the launching of the festival, having added that Ritek firm, the co-organiser of the festival, has been working with the Ministry of Culture so as to include it in the government's cultural agenda and for obtaining assistance.

"With the recognition of the government and for the fact that we have been giving proof of a good organisation for the second consecutive year, with the participation of great jazz musicians, we will start counting on the material and financial assistance of other institutions", he explained.

Commenting on the investments for this edition, the source revealed that it was worth USD 1.7 million.
