Angolan singers perform at CPLP games

Luanda - The singers Ary and Heavy C will be the main highlights of Angola day music-cultural show, as part of the Portuguese Speaking Countries Community (CPLP) Games, happening since Thursday, in Maputo city, Mozambique.

 

The activity, counts also on the performance of singers of Kuduro music genre, such as Própria Lixa, Kitwene Band and Dj’s Rui Gomes and Dias Rodrigues, and also includes presentation of national gastronomy.

 

It is the second time that culture unites for CPLP sports. On Thursday, the host country already showed their cultural strength during the opening ceremony, where athletes up to the age of 16 will participate at the event.

 

Traditional dance such as Chigubo and Makwela, from Mozambique’s southern region, Mapilo and Tufo from the northern region, performed at Maxaquene pavilion.

 

The activity counted on the presence of Mozambique’s Head of State, Armando Emílio Guebuza, who stressed the essence of the event which privileges fraternal ties and “fair-play”, contrary to sports results.
