Luanda - The assistant director of National Heritage Culture, Sónia Domingos, said Tuesday that the culture should be seen as a strengthening of development factor and promotion of a more balanced space in access to the culture, which result in a good plan of public investment.
Sónia Domingos was addressing a Workshop on the Promotion and Implementation of UNESCO Conventions, opened Tuesday at Natural History Museum, in Luanda.
According to the official, raising awareness and public participation in safeguarding the cultural heritage and ensuring the conditions to its enjoyment, constitutes State duty, through the Culture Ministry, provincial governments and local administrations.
Sónia da Silva Domingos said that the investment in recovery of the built heritage, in the creation of infrastructure and the implementation of the new cultural activities contribute to direct and indirect increase of job, as well as their qualification.
The workshop gathers representatives of the Ministry of Culture, MPs of the 6th Commission of National Assembly, provincial delegates and experts associated with qualification and preservation of cultural heritage.
According to the programme, on Wednesday the participants will discuss topics related to "Intangible Heritage, Underwater Convention" and "Convention on Cultural Diversity."
