Luanda – Angolan minister of Culture, Rosa Cruz e Silva, Tuesday in Luanda said that the workshop on "Promotion and Research of UNESCO's Conventions" will help the sector's members upgrade their knowledge on implementing of the international legal instruments methods in Angola.
The minister, who was speaking at the opening of workshop, considered essential to have knowledge on the international cultural laws in order to provide the Angolan citizens with tools that help the country ratify and implement these conventions.
"The action is intended to train the staff associated with cultural heritage field, who have to deal with the content of the UNESCO conventions and simultaneously speed up the administrative and bureaucratic procedures leading to the ratifying of all cultural onventions," emphasized Rosa Cruz e Silva.
She also stressed the importance of the private sector in the recovery and restoration of cultural heritage.
The event, scheduled to end Wednesday, gathers representatives from the Culture Ministry and UNESCO’s cultural experts.
