Cuban writer releases book

Luanda – The Cuban writer, Libânia Jimènez Rodriguez “Nancy” released on Thursday in Luanda her new book entitled “As Heroínas de Angola“.


The ceremony took place on the premises of the headquarters of the ruling MPLA party.


The books highlighted the participation of Deolinda Rodrigues de Almeida and her comrades Irene Cohen, Engrácia Paim, Lucrécia dos Santos and Teresa Afonso in the liberation struggle against the Portuguese colonial regime and their incorporation as combatants of “Kamy” squad.


According to her, 5,000 copies were released at the rate of  Akz 2000.


Libânia Jimènes Rodrigues was born in Cuba in 1936.
