Alda do Espírito Santo lived for São Tomé?s independence

Luanda – The São Tomeian nationalist Alda do Espírito Santo “was a woman that as a youth gave herself to the country’s liberty”, Luanda province governor Francisca do Espírito Santo stated, while honouring the poet.

Speaking to the press, during the act, the governor said that Alda do Espírito Santo worked with nationalists of Angola and Cape Verde in a determined way, reason why she lives a big void.

According to Francisca do Espírito Santo, the homage paid to the nationalist is not restricted to residents of Luanda, since the late nationalist is respected all over the country.
