Minister of Culture intends to provide institutions with technical expertise

Luanda – The Ministry of Culture intends to provide to cultural institutions in the country administrators, managers and specialised technicians, in short and medium terms.

 

The information was given by the coordinator of the organising commission of the meeting on “Validation of the national strategies on training of managers and cultural administrators”, Afonso Valentim, while presenting in Luanda, the Plan of Cultural Development.

 

According to Afonso Valentim, the programme will give special attention for subjects that are not yet available at education institutions of the country, such as archives, preservation and restoration of movable and immovable heritage, librarianship, documentation and museums, among others.

 

Afonso Valentim, said that training in libraries and archives is essential in order to monitor the growing need for bibliographic and documentary demand for research.

 

Hence, according to the coordinator, the training site and in some cases, a collaboration of instructors from overseas with nationals, to meet the training required.
