Luanda – Angolan designer Dina Simão is the winner of the Luanda fashion competition dubbed  “Designer of the Year” 2009 award.

At this Luanda Fashion 13th edition was also distinguished as best male and female models Joka and Sharon, while Jéssica Romero was elected best upcoming model.

Designer Lucrécia Moreira received the Career Award for being in this profession for 20 years.

Borges Matula and Érica Tchissapa received actors of the year award, for their participation in Angola’s soap-opera “Minha Terra Minha Mãe”.

The journalist of Angola Public Television (TPA), Ernesto Bartolomeu, received the Journalist of the Year award.

The Journalist Patrícia Pacheco of TV Zimbo received the best entertainment presenter prize.

In music, Kuduro genre group “Vagabanda” won best popular music award, while rapper Yannick won the modern music award for the best show of the year with his “Afroman” group.
