Creation of library on King Mandume Memorial defended

   Ondjiva - A library will be created on the memorial of the late King MandumeYa Ndemufaya, in Oihole locality, southern Cunene province, defended over the weekend the director of the national Archive, Alexandra Aparício, Angop has learnt.


   According to her, the initiative aims at facilitating the students and people of culture to better know about the reign of the late king.


   The official voiced so when speaking during a talk on Mandume Kingdom and diplomacy, under the celebrations of the 93 years of his death, on February 06, 1917.


   Mandume ya Ndemufayo was born in 1891 and came to power in 1911. He was a great leader, being that his regime fought against the Portuguese rule that intended to occupy this part of the southern Angola.
