Local carnival groups get costumes

 

Lubango – Over 100 carnival groups for adults and children categories who are enlisted with the culture department based in southern Huíla province, will start to receive on Monday the costumes for the main parade to be held on February 16.


Speaking Sunday to Angop, the head of the local culture department, Pedro Mussunda, said that the equipment comprises several material, beads, whistles, umbrellas, hats, wigs, pieces of metallic paper and others articles.


The groups will also receive flags, pennants, canvas shoes, hawaiian skirts, and paper balls, which according to the source will provide much splendour to the biggest cultural manifestation of Angola.


The material will be delivered to the 14 districts of Huíla province.
