Brussels - Angolan singer Yuri da Cunha opened the show with the hit “Macumba”, thrilling the more than 15,000 Belgians who arrived late on Friday at the Forest Nacional Arena stadium, in the city of Brussels.
The singer, in just 30 minutes (time reserved for him to open the performances of Italian singer Eros Ramazzotti), won the audience with his characteristic dance moves and music hits.
In each song Yuri da Cunha, accompanied by his dancers Filomena and Bela, received a great cheer from the public, and often getting the “encore” shout of approval from the crowd.
Also nicknamed “Show Man” in Angola, the Angolan sensation persuaded the audience to make some of his dance moves.
The singer is being accompanied in this tour by the musicians Dinho Silva (drums), João Morgado (congas), Tavinho (keyboards), Nelas do Som (guitar), Chiemba (bass), Chalana Dantas (percussion), Chimbinha (guitarist ) and the chorus of Fausto and Trycia, as well as the dancers Filomena and Bela.
In the end, the singer Eros Ramazzotti praised the Angolan talent, saying that the success of Yuri in Europe and the world only depends on his posture.
