Lubango – Huíla Province culture department director, Maria Marcelina Gomes, informed in this city that the preparations for the popular national music festival dubbed “Variante/2009”, scheduled for November 7, in Lubango, are on right track.

In an interview to ANGOP, the official said that the technical and administrative conditions are being created, having announced that the contestants from the 18 provinces of the country and the guests will begin to arrive in Huíla Tuesday.

Without stating the name of the band that will back the 20 representatives from the 18 provinces, she said that rehearsals will begin Wednesday, in Nossa Senhora do Monte pavilion, where the event is to happen.
