Cultural activities during CAN-2010 gets 500 youths involved

Lubango - Over 500 young artists and actors will be part of the cultural programme of the African Football Nations Cup (CAN-2010), in the Southern Huila Province, in areas like  music, dance, and theatre festivals, as well as crafts fairs, ANGOP has learnt.

The provincial director for culture, Maria Marcelina Gomes, gave this information this Thursday, adding that the programme dubbed "We are organising, we are to win", starts with an artistic festival at the inaugural act of Tundavala new stadium, on December 22.

Tests start next Monday aimed to standardise the exhibitions, the source said, adding that the programme will proceed at the opening, throughout and at the end of CAN-2010, with the presentation of local artists and groups inside and outside of the stadium.

Huila is the headquarter of group D that includes the teams of Cameroon, Gabon, Zambia and Tunisia.
